CFRTAC Seeks Technical Advisors

CFRTAC is soliciting Statements of Qualifications  to develop a consultant roster of firms   and individuals qualified to perform technical review services  on an "as-needed" basis regarding remediation and restoration design  and implementation at the Clark Fork River Superfund site.

CFRTAC is an independent, volunteer-led citizens' organization that works to inform and engage the public in the remediation, restoration and redevelopment Milltown Reservoir Sediments/ Clark Fork River Superfund site. CFRTAC anticipates the beginning of the Superfund cleanup and restoration work along the Clark Fork River (CFROU) in the Deer Lodge Valley. CFRTAC will expand its work on technical review, assistance and outreach with local residents and agencies on the river cleanup and restoration.

CFRTAC seeks expertise - from either a team or  individuals - in the broad field of river restoration, including, but not limited to, the following fields:

  • Fluvial geomorphology
  • Hydrology
  • Hydraulic engineering
  • Revegetation
  • Riparian ecology
  • Fisheries biology
  • Landscape architecture

Consultants will be expected to provide the following professional services as directed by the CFRTAC board:

  • Review and comment on final design reports and related documents
  • Participate in the Design Review Team and other public and technical meetings on implementation
  • Prepare technical briefs and articles on design and implementation for the CFRTAC publications, newsletters, and website.

Respondents should address the following information in their responses: a general description of relevant expertise, experience and resources; references for previously completed projects; and resumes of professional staff members. Respondents must also include a schedule of hourly rates for various classes of employees who will perform basic services and potential additional services that may be requested.
