A board member of the Clark Fork Coalition and his guide are floating nearly the entire length of the Clark Fork River, from the Deer Lodge Valley to Lake Pend Oreille, to highlight a river on the mend.

And while passing through East Missoula on July 3, as part of the 320-mile, 20-day float,  the pair will be joined by the governor and other state officials on a float into town followed by a party at Caras Park.
